We never were hit as hard as you guys with the delta strain because of the isolations - you lot were in denial and dieing in droves, and got a good headstart on your countries abysmal mortality rate.
If you had half a clue, you'd understand the infectious rate differences between the covid and the flu, but maybe denial is your happy place?
