Details on the custom barreled ultra light Ruger 77

Top one is an older "brazed" barreled 22/410 combo gun... shooting 22 Remington Subsonics, it's more accurate than the tiny open sights are good for. It's a fun gun to take squirrel hunting.

Middle rifle is a CZ 452 Silhouette topped with a Burris 6x HBR. The buttpad finally 'melted' off not long after that picture was taken while out squirrel hunting. Redneck on this forum fitted a new red decelerator pad for me earlier this year, looks sharp!

The Ruger 77 Ultra Light started off as a standard tang 77. I had the stainless Shilen #1 tube screwed on and chopped just past 21" and chambered in 257 Roberts. I added a Rifle Basix trigger (or maybe it was a Timney, I cant recall now) and bedded it in a UL stock. Topped it off with a M8 6x36. Turned out to be a fine shooter with just about any bullet I run through it so long as the powder is 4350. Nice little rifle.
