A gent I know has horses and had two very expensive saddles stolen from his barn. Upon bad advice he got a pair of rescue pit bulls and tied them on a long chains out front, to a tree.

After more stuff was stolen he let them run loose on his property. Came home one evening to find that the pits had killed 2 of his high dollar colts.

Learned later that evening the pits had attacked one of his workers who escaped up a ladder to the hay loft.
