Is that how your family lost the dairy farm?

Do you still live in a flood plain?
Din't live in a flood plain then you ignorant son of a bitch. It had not flooded there in 100 years.

Thats called a 100 year flood plain.

They have 500 year flood plains too.
They called it a 500 year flood. Whole towns were wiped out here. Bridges washed out all over the place. Roads closed, whole houses floating down the river, overpass collapsed on the interstate, 18 wheelers went into the abyss and washed down stream. Never would have thought it would flood where I lived. Water was not visible from my back yard the night before. When I got up in the morning it was at my back steps. Two hours later when we left it was coming under the back door. We got 8" of rain overnight and the ground was already saturated from several straight days of rain before that. The next morning when we went back the water was over the road out front and about everything but the roof was under water.
