I don't care if it's due to some agenda or simple clueless blatant human error... either way it just goes to show scripture is not the infallible word of God many claim it to be.
That is something many Christians are reluctant to take on the chin... coz they prefer mere 'belief' over opposing fact.
Your disdain for Christianity is proof of the damage that hypocrites and charlatans do to Jesus' teachings. There are a good many people who while not atheist look at organized christianity and want no part of it. I would agree that probably most people claiming to be followers of Jesus in fact are not. And are not the least bit interested in researching just what is his core message. There is a lot of truth in scripture but sadly as I have said before there are obviously things ascribed or imputed to Jesus that he never claimed. No telling the damage done by the likes of Jimmy Swaggart, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, and even Billy G.
