Have had Talleys on Remingtons and Kimbers, 223 to 300 Ultra. Have had 3 sets crack. two sets were torqued as per Talley specs, one was farmer tight. The set that cracked on a 223 Montana was a light duty rifle, never seeing hard use. A Remington was basically a safe queen, and the Montana 7wsm saw hard use strapped to a backpack most of the time. That one went from being less than half MOA to 4+ MOA in between two subsequent days of shooting.
