I just pulled a gun out of the safe, and what should I see, but a Talley had split whilst in storage.

Earthquake? I mean it happened in the safe...

Ticking time bomb

Interestingly enough, just before finding this, I had called Talley about replacing a screw that had broke off on a different mount, and also asked how far back the extended 700 base was over the standard. 3/8ths if you're interested.

I was wanting to replace the current scope on that gun with a shorter one anyway, and now decided to install an extra Seekins rail instead, and I just ordered a set of Vortex Pro rings to top it off.

Back to bullet proof, with a minor 3 oz weight penalty........
