You ever had a family member that wasn't quite right? They are adults and you cannot confine them until things become very evident or dangerous. We had quite a bit of convincing to do to stop my mother from driving when we scared to death that she was not only going to kill herself but also include another vehicle in the deal. The MV office told me that if she could shuffle through the door and pass the eye exam there was nothing they could do but renew. Same goes for dementia and crazy, there is a certain amount that nobody can do anything about.
