I'm not sure occasionally getting drunk make a person a drunkard. I consider that label for those who are continuously drunk, the to point it negatively affect the lives of themselves and others. Kink of like your example of a woman wearing jeans, or Hope wearing the Tux in China.

However, an practicing alcoholic may not be the best church leader.
