I think Logan would be a good location for retirement. Easy access to Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. Has 4 seasons but the climate is relatively mild w/out extremes of heat or cold. Salt Lake is a zoo but has and International Airport. I am guessing you are seeking a quieter more conservative home and Logan would definitely be that. Mormons make good neighbors.
