That man was a tool of God at the right moment of his life. That is a true hero.

There was no shortage of “tools” there that day. The shooter had already killed 19 people, so maybe God should’ve hit 2nd gear and got the “hero” in there an hour and forty minutes earlier. JFC…..I’m so sick of the word “hero”.
I can not explain why one was chosen over the others. I do believe a couple of others heard the call, but were injured and unsuccessful at stopping the evil. Nor can I explain why the timeline was what it was. Only God Himself knows. I believe He has the power to do anything. Someone heard His call, and answered it, even after others were injured, placing the lives of others above his own. That is a hero. No question about it.
