Thought about it awhile and turned it over to a local gunsmith to be reworked. had a Sendero profile Shilen barrel in 220 Swift put on, trigger worked, glass and pillar bedded, all metal Ceracoated and the stock refinished. Still working up some loads for it but it is a shooter, will put 3 shots through the same hole at 100 yards.

That is a heck of a nice rifle! I've been thinking about doing a project just like that, I love the .220 Swift. I have a 1955 .M70 220 Swift in excellent condition bought new by my dad when he was a teen. I love shooting it, and would like to use it more, but it's a safe queen and always will be. I need one I can take out and not worry about dinging it up... as much!
