I shoot more than 1/2 a box a year, and I don't know why the 30-06 sucks. Clue me in please.
Hard to figure. The '.06 is a stardard by which most other NA Big Game rounds are measured. Some are faster, others can handle a heavier bullet, some less recoil, but in the end, it is the .30-06 we use as benchmark. It's worked and worked well for more than 100 years.
