Full custom build...I picked the walnut blank from several my Smith had. I asked him to turn, shape and profile into a Sako Vixen type stock...He tipped the forend with an ebony wood, I forget the name, but not the cost.
He did all the hand checkering Including a four leaf clover placed in the middle of the Sako palm swell on the right side... Skeletonized end cap on the grip...
I found a new Sako L461 action that he blue printed and lapped the bolt lugs. Added a Lilja 24” fluted barrel 1/12 twist and chambered it in 222 Remington. Finished the metal in a matte black cerakote...It’s one of the best fitting rifles I own built from my measurements.
And it shoots really goood. I was pleased after 1.5 year wait for completion. 😎
