No damn clue about the lift of either the 46 or 53 but I’ve slid a bunch of ropes and jumped them and the 22 a bunch. The 46 was a great fast rope bird though. Where as the 53’s put a lot more draft on us on the deck. I salute them all as they’ve done good work for us over the years. I think all of the Marine 46’s went to the Navy didn’t they MCH?
I’ve got a picture of us sliding a hellacious long rope onto GOPLAT Edith in the Pacific around 2001-2002. Great memories.
