I had one of those Old Timer Sharpfingers....but it is somewhere along a trail in the middle of the Frank Church Wilderness and has been for several years.

For a mass produced, cheap knife, it held an edge pretty damn good. I could skin and break down an entire elk without touching it up.

That old timer suprised me, in how good it was. Maybe I just got lucky with a good lot of steel when I got mine, but it held an edge better than several of my more expensive knives have.

I quit buying good, custom knives because I loose them like a virginity on prom night, and I SUCK ASS at sharpening. I am all about the havalon piranta now😀.



Same boat as you.

My Sharpfinger is 4-ish decades old. Holds an edge like a sumbatch. Best knife money I ever spent.
