I started using a .17 Remington for all of my fox hunting many years ago. I love it.
Used it on many coyotes?
Where I live in Kodiak we don't have any coyotes, just fox. When I lived in Colorado I was a big fan of the .220 Swift but I killed a couple of coyotes with a .223.
Homer, do you hunt the fox? and if so what do you use?
I like to call fox. I use both hand blown and electronic callers. And I use a .17 Remington. There is one small problem with a .17 though. 2 of my friends have called in bears. I never have. But it would suck.
