I have never seen an Elk that had to be shot !! if you don't have the shot don't shoot, Black timber, or not enough light, morning or evening, to rushed, not ready, spray and prey usually does not turn out real well, no matter what fire arm you chose, almost all the rodeo's, are caused by poor judgement and poor shooting.
