My brother had two of those and broke large chunks out of the blade on both hacking limbs with them. The company replaced them both times but he sold the third one and replaced it with an Ontario Marine Raider Bowie.


Now THAT is a beast of a blade. It's on my short list of big knives I kind of like...wouldn't mind having.
Yeah it's heavy duty alright. Bro hasn't been able to break that one.


I've got it's cousin, the Ontario SP-8. This an older model, made of 5160.....basically leaf spring steel I believe. Tough as nails. Not stabby at all, but quite a tool.
