That reminds me of reading of a long ago interview a reporter had with Rezin Bowie, who reportedly actually designed the original "Bowie" knife. He asked Rezin why he was still alive after having so many knife fights?"

Bowie answered, "Well, once't they got to walkin' on their guts, the fight was over."
