I bought some Old Hickory Paring knives
The smallest has a 3 .25 inch blade and the larger one has a 4 inch blade.

Made neck knife sheaths for both from
3-4 oz veg tan leather.and a piece of leather lacing to go around my neck.
With the 3.25 inch blade knife with sheath the the weight is 1.5 ounce
With the 4 inch blade knife the weight including sheath is 2 ounces.

I made them to hold the knife in a blade down position and have them sitting where the sheath covers the blade and about 1 inch of the handle
Easy to draw with one hand and easy to sharpen the high carbon steel with a file to hair Pulling Sharp.

Can pick em up for less than 10 bucks apiece on Midway.
As far as I am concerned best bargain on knives out there.
