I have the larger Buck 120,which is much the same only with a 7.5" blade. The phenolic handles are kinda slippery, especially when bloody.

Wonder how you could stipple the handle? Sharp soldering iron??
Some friction tape around the handle would probably work wonders. I honestly don't/haven't used my 120 for much. I've used my little 102 woodsman some for dressing game but the 120 is too big. If I were going to try to texture the handle I'd use a small ball cutter in a foredom/moto tool and do it up like a jigged bone handle.
