Wonder how you could stipple the handle? Sharp soldering iron??

Don't think a soldiering iron would work.
G locks are polymer plastic. It melts easy.
If Buck actually uses a phenolic resin to make the handle, it's pretty heat
resistant, and would either burn or get brittle/crispy with heat.
It might respond well to roughing up with a coarse abrasive.
It some other checkering technique. Probably wouldn't try any
impact stopping either.
