I have to take issue with several things in your post but I think your first assertion, as incorrect as it is, gives us insight into your alternate universe. Ukraine is NOT “our sandbox”….hell, Ukraine ain’t even our outhouse in the back 40. Ukraine is a historically Russian (Soviet) possession that was supposedly “gifted” their “independence” AFTER 1991. We owe Ukraine NOTHING.

Grandiosity in things military was somewhat workable during the Cold War but it’s destabilizing now.
