Thanks for this valuable info, I too had been steering away from the 147 grainers. FWIW, back when I had a 9mm carbine, the 147 grain loads I tried gave far and away the best groups at 100 yards.

IIRC the 147 grain FMJ load was originally designed to be a subsonic for use in surpessed weapons, specifically for quietly taking out sentries with precision longer-range shots.
