Being born in '51, as a yonker I read everything I could get my hands on about the P-38 Lightnings, Grumman Hellcats, F4U Corsairs and the P-51 Mustangs and the guys that flew them.

GWB there are two planes in this world that forever have a place in my heart. First is the F4U Corsair, second is the De Havilland Beaver. I know a lot of guys that worked at Grumman it is said to see them gone from LI.
