Dad worked at an Iron foundry for 16 years till they shut it down .. This was back in mid 70's thru early 90's.State got on them because no Blacks worked there. They said they could not get none to work there .Dad said one Black came to work and first day just walked off the job without telling anybody. Had a similar discussion with FAA management, I was a supervisor, they wanted to increase the number of minorities in management, because we were deemed to be 'racist' in promotions to management. The minority population among the 'workers' was higher than that in management!?!?!? Primarily Hispanic!

I asked a question: 'What is the percentage of minorities selected compared to the percentage of minorities that applied'????? Silence!!!

Then someone asked: 'What difference does that make'??????
