The sharks teeth paint scheme originated with The Flying Tigers on their P-40's flown by the American Volunteer Group which was formed to help defend China against Japan prior to the onset of America's entry into war with Japan. Fact or Fiction - the paint scheme was said to be adopted to strike fear into the Japanese pilots.
