Thanks to the inspiration of Bob Milek, I had a XP-100 barreled up with a 14" Shilen back in the 80s and later used 14 and 15" Contenders along with a custom Rem 788 with a 20" barrel.

With that XP, I took quite a few animals, mostly exotics in the Texas Hill Country. I used H335 under the long-discontinued Sierra 80 grain SSP and always was rewarded with fantastic terminal performance. MV was 2705 fps.

The large catalina billy below was taken at 230 yards, which was my longest shot on a big game animal with that rig. That XP was one of the most accurate firearms I have ever owned and would consistently produce eye-popping groups.
