I guess the German Jews that died (or maybe they didn't really die ?) in concentration camps were prisoners of the losing regime of........German Jewry perhaps???

Of course, Polish, French, Belgian, Dutch Jews were prisoners of losing regimes, because at that time their country of origin was losing.

But then again, there's that little thing of the general populace being non-combatants and all, and therefor maybe not technically prisoners?
