The rain Wed, Thurs, & Fri has turned the two-tracks to the blinds into mud bogs. Photo shows the a typical mud-coating on truck just returned from retrieving hunters from blinds Friday AM.

Rumors identify it as caliche mud. It's slippery, so some of us skidded and landed on our backsides when we stepped out of trucks at the blinds. It's sticky and gloppy; the whitetails that show up at the feeders appear to have baseballs rather than hooves at the ends of their legs. At least one truck was stuck in mud up to the rocker panels in the middle of a ranch road. Some of the attendees with developed vocabularies can elaborate colorfully on the theory and application of this mud.
