100,000 acre fire burning not too far from here. The "Cameron Peak fire" tripled in 3 days. Sunday and yesterday we were 98 degrees and raining ash under eerie, dark orange skies, and they were fighting fire tornadoes.

24 hours later, we are currently 27 degrees with 2 inches of snow on the ground here (and more than a foot on the fire just west) and the wildland fire fighters up there are camping in temps in the TEENS.

Crazy start to the fall, but hey, 2020 and all that.
