Y-DNA and mtDNA haprogroups spread by three routes after leaving Africa: "Southern Route" (from Iran via India to Oceania), "Northern Route" (from Iran to Altai) and "Western route" (from Iran to the Middle East)[119][120]. The group taking the southern route is Australoid, the northern route is Mongoloid, the western route is Caucasoid, and the group staying in Africa is Negroid.
