I have tried different combinations of 150 gn bullets and powders in my son's 30-06 and thought the rifle was just a lemon.
Yesterday I shot some loads of IMR 4350 behind a speer 165 gn BT. It yielded nice enlarged holes or very tight groups.
Shot a progression of 180s that were around an inch. His rifle likes the heavier bullets.
