I’ve enjoyed this thread a lot. It’s been a good reminder of how each rifle is different. In a rush a couple of years ago, I loaded 165g accubonds with IMR 4350 and using Nosler recommended coal. My first string confirmed My T3x had a “slower barrel”. Ultimately, 59.5 grains brought velocity to 2830 with 3 rounds touching. I’ve been planning on tweaking seating depth to see if I could improve things (there is significant room to extend coal. However, with all my projects, I just haven’t gotten to it.

I’ve learned that loading without a chronograph is frequently an inefficient use of time/resources. There’s lots to learn if your paying attention. It will also provide early warning if you have a tight chamber (I have T3x in 270wsm that has one) or if you need to look at case expansion when other pressure signs are not present but velocities are unusually high.
