I was messing around with the Sierra 165 gr. Game King BTHP this weekend and was impressed as always with it's accuracy. Much as I like the various 4350s and the velocity they give IMR 4064 is no slouch! The attached file shows my eight shot group @100 yards (one inch target sticker).

This load is over the Sierra maximum but I'm using higher capacity Norma brass and I worked up. My chronograph batteries crapped out so I'll have to chronograph it later. Sorry!

Gun: Tikka T3 Lite 30-06 22 inch bbl.

Bullet: Sierra 165 gr. HPBT Game King
Powder: IMR 4064 50.0 grs.
Primer: Federal 210
Case: Norma
LOAL: 3.188 (2.713 with Stoney Point)

Here's a similar load I chronographed earlier.

LOAL: 3.300 (2.691 base to ogive with Stoney Point gage)
Avg. Velocity: 2673.02 fps
Extreme Spread: 22.45
Standard Deviation: 9.16

An 8-shot group at 100 yards.
