Funny that my post is still the last in this thread.

I've reached a conclusion on Re17. Even though its velocity potential can be astounding (for instance, a 180-grain Partition at 2900 fps out of a .30-06!), it just plain sucks due to temperature sensitivity.

I was able to obtain a few pounds of H4350 a few days back, and I found that charges of 57.0, 57.5, and 58.0 grains all yielded sub-MOA accuracy with velocities coming in at 2791 to 2831 fps. I think the 58.0-grain load is too hot for my rifle, though (my case capacity is a little on the light side as I am using LC69 brass). I believe my load will be 57.5 grains of H4350, and I will do a little bit of tweaking via seating depth next time out.

There's a reason so many tout H4350 for the '06. It works!
