IMR 4064 has been my go to powder for 125 gr and 150 gr bullets in the .30-06 for over 50 years. 52.0 gr with a 150 gr Sierra or Ballistic Tip and 55.0 gr with a 126 gr bullet have always shot under an inch in just about every .30-06 I have tried them in. I have tried other powders but have had no reason to change. The 150 gr load comes close to 3000 FPS in a 24-inch barrel of a sporterized 1903 Springfield with original barrel and shoots under an inch all day long.
