This subject goes back to 1903, its addressed in every reloading book ever produced, but everything here is good, just repitition..
I use 3 powders in the 30-06, that being some old surplus Milsurp 4831, IMR-4064, and H-414, but there are many others that work geat..I like the 180 gr. Nosler bullet for anything I shoot with it. I have no objection to 150 and 165 gr. bullets. I think the 200 gr. bullets are a tad heavy and see no improvement on game over the 180s...I do see a sugnificant improvement on game with the 200 gr. bullets in my 300 H&H so I mostly load my 06 with 180 Noslers at 2700 FPS and my 300 H&H with 200 gr. Nosler at 3000 FPS
