52/4064/good 150 gr bullet (Sierra, NBT, etc.); consistently the first load I've used to determine if a 30-06 would shoot. Over 20 30-06 rifles over 35 years and it has always held true. This may not be the bullet weight you want, but you have a starting point in terms of the rifle's accuracy or lack thereof.

57.5/IMR 4350/165 gr Nosler Partition; one of the best hunting loads for 30-06 I've ever seen, accurate as well in most rifles. Many DRT on deer, including several very large mule deer, complete penetration through chest of elk (x2).

55/IMR4350/180 gr. Nosler Partition; outstanding accuracy, great killing power on large animals.
