Seeing this Ruger with a rib...... thought I would show mine again. It was on page 17 of this thread for a long time. Longhunter's pistol is the only other one I've seen with a rib. I built mine way back in the 1970's for the Houston Gun show to sell nickle and blue jobs and trigger jobs. Used a millet front sight which I staked in place before I welded the rib in. Have pounded many thousands of rounds down the barrel and its still my go to !!!

Is there somebody producing this rib now ?? When I built mine, you couldn't even buy a different back strap, you had to build it. Shortly after, they came out with a brass back strap. It held nickel much better than the original. Any way, good looking pistol Longhunter.
