Here's my latest 44 Magnum: A well used but not abused Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 10.5" barrel made circa 1985. It came with a cheezy B-square "no gunsmithing" scope mount that I quickly discarded. An evening's dig through my parts boxes turned up a rear sight from another Super Blackhawk and a proper front sight whose presence in my parts box I can't quite explain. One reason never to get rid of anything, I guess grin

Took it to the range today and got it sighted in. With the rear sight cranked all the way down I shot a 4" group at 50 yards off the bench with my standard 44 Magnum light load of a 240gr Oregon Trail bullet over Trail Boss powder. Next step is to load up some 220gr Sierra's over H110 or Lil' Gun. I've been wanting to try out silhouette shooting and I think this gun is just the ticket. Should be fun.
