What a great, enjoyable thread.

After many years without owning a 44mag revolver, I recently bought a new 5" M629. It feels great to be back, and it will make a fun companion to my Ruger Deerfield on hog and deer hunts.

The new Smith is shooting the Deerfield's pet load of a 240XTP over 23.5 grains of IMR 4227 very well. The only issue I need to work thru is some double action misfires with the old CCI Magnum pistol primers I am using.
