a few months ago I was bidding on a similar model 83 on GB. 4 5/8s barrel. went for like 1700. I quit bidding at 1600. Next time I see a 4 5/8s field grade it's going to come home with me.
I'd recommend it. The 44 mag is really nice to shoot in this weight revolver. Having shot a few 454's in my past, I don't really care for the recoil.
