I didn't read the whole thread so apologies if it has been mentioned

I watched a documentary on Netflix - actually a series called Trial By Media.

The second one is about Bernard Goetz, and how he helped the NRA move from hunting to self defense.

Its also interesting to watch the mood in New York at the time
