Watched a "comedy" on Prime the other night. "Arizona". If you can see beyond the obvious plot, it was a very remarkable comment on the 2008 mortgage crisis, the self indulgent people who were sucked in by it, the get rich quick flipping houses crowd, the piracy of the crooked lenders... Won't win any prizes with the film critics, but it is a pretty profound piece on a period of Americana we'd just as soon forget. Sad, funny, definitely thought provoking, and violent.


Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
