Yes, you are right. People came here from Europe to have religious freedom. They were not any more perfect than people today, however we have our freedoms because of Someone these guys aught to know by now. The Lord provided each and every Liberty.
They sure weren't perfect. They hadn't been here very long when they started killing folks for being witches. In America and being done by white people who were Christian no less.
I am not a Puritan, nor agree with all of their doctrines and practices. They weren't the only settlers either. The Lord provided a land where more preachers have been sent out to the world to spread the gospel than any preserved records of any other time. Granted, the Dark ages were dark because many books were burned, including Bibles and living witnesses of that gospel.
