It still is red:



The new one was almost red, too, but the dealer claimed someone bought the red one on his lot. Of course, I still SEE the red one on his lot, so I don't know why the heck he didn't sell it to me

9 years ago, I was in North Carolina when I bought the red one. I still had a gold 1998. One day I had neighbors visiting and the lady, who was a very proper Southern Belle, asked, "why do you have two pickups?" I replied, "I'm single and prosperous, and can have two pickups if I want". Her husband laughed and said, "There you go!" and the wife turned, shook her finger at him, and said "you stop that right NOW!". I guess they'd had the same discussion

I'll probably clean up the 04; fix a couple things, and either sell it or trade it for a smaller 4x4
