My cousin killed a big hog one evening and we decided to take it home to weigh it since we thought it would go over 200lbs. Roughly 4 1/2 ft long nose to base of the tail, weighed 148 on my cheap scales. Have it hanging behind my house taking pictures when a truck pulls in with 3 game wardens in it.
They say "We saw ya'll had something hanging and thought it might be a big buck".
Nope just a big hog. They asked who killed it and we chatted for a few minutes. I asked them if they wanted it, said no. I told him you must know someone needy who will take it? He says yeah but they all want it already cleaned and cut up.
Well, you can teach them. They decided they had business somewhere else and left. Saw that truck pass by my house a couple of times over the next week or 2.
