Neither is something I would choose over the great 270 Winchester. YMMV.
Plenty choose the 7-08 over the great .280 and the even greater .280 Improved. The Redding is closer in performance to the .270 than the 7-08 is to the .280. And it's not just the cartridge, it's the cartridge and rifle platform you would be choosing.
If looking specifically for a short action, but if not, I would still stay with the 270 Win.
Also, brass would be easier and faster to deal with than a wildcat.
It's only the fireforming that's an issue, .243 parent brass is just as easy to get and you save time after each firing because of less case stretching and trimming.
